The Best Nintendo Games to get this Christmas...Part 2

Wanna get a N64 or Gameboy game for Christmas, but not sure which one yet? Well here's the second in our two part guide to four of the best Nitendo games about.

Pokemon Snap

Console: N64
Price: £45
Number of players: 1

You've probably seen the adverts for this on TV. The idea is that you have to go around an island in a cart, and take photographs of Pokemon, which Professor Oak (from the cartoon) will rate your photos when you finish each part, and sometimes he'll ask you to take a picture of a certain Pokemon. The animation is extremely realistic, the Pokemon act like real animals!

You can try to coax them to do special poses by either giving them apples (extremely effective with groups of Charmanders), playing the Pokeflute, which makes them dance, or throwing pester balls, which annoy them. You can also stun them (be careful, if you throw to many, they'll faint and Professor Oak doesn't like that), or you can just take pictures without doing anything for a 'natural' feel to your photos.

There are several different levels, including volcano, cave and river.

I would recommend this game to people who prefer RPG type games to action games.

Super Smash Bros

Console: N64
Price: around £45
Number of players: 1-4

Ok, so this game's been around a while, but I'd still thoroughly recommend it. It's a fighting game between all your favourite Nintendo characters- Mario, Luigi, Pikachu, Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong and Yoshi are some of them. You battle on different arenas, all based around games that the different characters have been in, such as Zelda, Yoshi's story, Kirby's dreamland, Pokemon and more. You can have up to 4 players, so it's a great game to play with your friends. There are different weapons, like Pokeballs, wands and baseball bats, which you can get from crates which fall out of the sky.

There are training modes, and when you select a character, if you press the C buttons, you can change their costume- Pikachu looks especially cute in a range of party hats.

A great fighting game, perfect for having fun with your friends.
