Back to school blues? Read this!

Well, what an interesting summer it has been. We’ve had Big Brother2, Hear’Say’s second attempt at a single (sorry pop fans), plenty of smashing films, exam results, as well as the usual dodgy English weather. Now September is once again upon us and school/college/6th form is starting in a couple of days.

Depressed about going back? So are we, but to cheer everyone up we’ve spent our entire summer writing loads of groovy new articles for you lot to read when you’re fed up with homework.

You may have noticed that we’ve got some new features, including ‘Addictions’, ‘Being Positive’, ‘Keeping Legal’, ‘Money’ and ‘Y Vote?’. Each new section includes loads of the usual fantastic ‘for us by us’ articles, and plenty of top info if you’re having trouble with an addiction or needing support to do with the world of money. As well as that little lot, Dating and Dumping, Friends and Family and Food have been updated with a whole bag full of articles, our stories, guides and links.

We’ve also been working our arses off developing ‘ipupiline’, which is an interactive version of pupiline with quizzes, scenarios and discussions. If you want to liven up your PSHE lessons, ipupiline is a fun alternative (6/5 pupiliners agree) to listening to your teacher droning about being good for an hour, so get your school involved by telling your teacher about ipupiline as soon as possible. More information can be found in ‘About Us’ or by clicking the little white i on the features menu.

As well as updating our features section, we’ve got 9 brand spanking new topics in the forums so that you can discuss a much wider range of issues with each other, so log in and get typing! The new forum topics are the same as the new ipupiline sections, so that’s the kind of thing you could be looking at if your school chooses to use ipupiline. The chatroom is still available for everyone’s use after 4pm, and My Pupiline still offers you a diary, instant messages, webspace and webmail if you have registered and agreed to the new disclaimer.

That’s about it for now, but there will be more stuff on the way very soon. Enjoy the last couple of days of your holidays.

Sarah :o)
