Anybody up for a well bad game? If you are, then buy Theme Park World!because it's terrible.
If you’ve ever played Theme Park, you would think the game is pretty good and an improvement on the old. If you’ve ever played Roller Coaster Tycoon, you will think it is a 'ton' of crap, like I do.
You know the story, you’ve got ton's of money which you have to build a successful theme park in one of the four worlds. If you don’t (considering the game genre is a sim) you never "win", and you never "lose" either.
Ok, so some of it is good, but most of it is rubbish. Here's the rundown of the GOOD things:
- The interface
- Ummmm......That’s it.
Now here's the bad things (there's quite a few):
- The advisor (more on err…IT later)
- The 3D system (later too)
- The load time
- The interface (I know what you’re thinking, why has he got that in twice, ill explain later.)
- The staff windows
I’m not sure that that’s all of it, but it sounds enough, doesn't it?
Alos there's a samll probelm of the game's advisor. It’s a little animal thing, which looks like a load of blackberries that stand on top of each other wearing silly costumes.
Everything you do, whatever screen you open, HE’S THERE. Even if you look at the toilet screen which shows how stinky it is, HE’S THERE. In case you haven’t noticed yet, the best thing to do is bake him in a pie or flush him down the loo.
NEXT!...in the list of bad things about this game is the 3D system. What you have within the game is a camcorder button that lets you ride the rides and go around your park. The reason I’m complaining is that well, its crap! Riding on the rides takes up too much memory so it misses frames out. When you walk around, the kids’ images just get large and distorted. Nice try, Bullfrog, but no cigar.
The interface is good in some ways, that it shows messages and you can minimise it, but the game has so many actions to perform that the keys are not as responsive. You have to press F1 a lot of times to get it to hide.
So, in other words, don’t buy it I recommend.
