Revision Timetable Below here is a timetable which I've been used for revision. It is best for those who have 'holidays' or study leave to revise but it can be easily adapted for those who have had school or college to cope with as well or if you doing mocks, modules or SAT's etc. What you have to do is - Draw up a timetable on paper with the days of the week, along the top, and the periods of time you will revise or a take off, down the side.
- Mark all the times out that you know you are going to be out , do this in a coloured pen to attract your attention.
- Then you give yourself some of the periods off for resting in between revison, no matter waht you think you can't revise all day.
- Fill in each hour with a subject that you have to revise. Make sure that each subject has had your equal attention. I 've got three to revise because I'm doing three A-levels.
- You can't of course go for three hours and not have a break. That would be just stupid and you would never remember all the things that you have just been revising.
- The best thing to do is to do solid revision for 20 minutes and then have a ten minute break. If you are getting on well with what you are doing you could always go on for 50 minutes and then have a ten minute break before your next subject but you do need to timetable in breaks.
Here, finally, is the table:
Here is an idea of a table you could use, it has the subjects I am studying I have given them equal time. You may have more or less subjects but remember to give them equal time. Also you could use different times for breaks and rests, it's up to you, always work around a tiemtable you feel comfortable with.
