Pupiline's England Football XI

What's up with English Football? Everybody has had their say by now, especially after the disastrous Euro 2000 Campaign, where Europe's finest showed our sorry team how the beautiful game should be played. While yer France's and yer Holland's have put their faith into youth football, by getting excellent young players into the first team, as soon as they possibly can, England seem reluctant to do that.

Now this is not heavy criticism to Mr Keegan, I hope you all agree with us here that we need to give him time and it should come good, but Pupiline say;

GET THE YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE FIRST TEAM, NO ONE GETS EXPERIENCE FROM SITTING ON A SUBS BENCH.

We have a wealth of talented young up and coming players, and a fantastic array of players still in their teens or early twenties, THEY MUST BE USED.

So here's the pupiline England team:

Richard Wright

Sol Campbell

Jonathan Woodgate

Rio Ferdinand

Kieron Dyer

Gareth Barry

David Beckham

Steven Gerrard

Paul Scholes

Andy Cole

Michael Owen

On the Bench: Nicky Weaver, Gareth Southgate, Lee Bowyer, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Kevin Phillips, Wes Brown

Ohhhhh, too radical, well not really, these players are very talented and need to get in the side NOW. There is some experience in their, Beckham, Scholes, Cole and Campbell, the side's spine, have achieved a lot at the highest level so they won't be out of their depth. However the example of Leeds, West Ham and obviously Man Utd, and Peterborough FC and Crewe Alexandra in the lower leagues shows that teams full of young players DO succeed
