World O'Gadgets 2001...

The Return of David O'Gadget...

Bigger, better, faster - more.

Ohhhhhh BOY! Welcome back gadget fans - it's been a while, but pupiline's resident gadget boffin - David O'Gadget - is back to give you the lowdown on all the gizmo gossip.

Crumbs! I hope you like my new look, it was inspired by my favourite TV show - Blake 7 -and is quite futuristic... I like to think!

As well as my makeover, I've decided to revamp my column - it's now got a great Gadget Hall O'Fame (where some of the great gizmo gods will be paid tribute).

And remember! - If you want to write to me about anything Gadget related (new gadgets, queries, signed photos etc)  then just e-mail me at: davidogadget@pupiline.net - Crumbs! it would be great to hear from you.

Wiper-Glasses

"SPLAAAAASH! - ohhhhh" - that's the sound that I make when I walk into a deep puddle which I didn't notice because my glasses were dripping wet.

Well not any more! This great "Wiper-Glasses" gadget will always keep my specs drip-free - so no more tellings off from Aunty because my trousers are wet! - £4.95 from www.gadgetshop.com (not suitable for young children)

Desktop Cyber Cat

*sigh* It's not that I don't like my Aunty's cat - Mr.Chester. But sometimes, I wish he'd do more than just bite by ankles and spit in my eyes....wouldn't it be great if he could tell the time as well!

Oh-Boy! This great "Desktop Cyber Cat" gadget is my kind of kitten. His digital visor will tell the time for you, and he has poseable legs and head too! - which means I'll always be on time for my "meetings" - £14.95 from www.gadgetshop.com (Measures 3.3cms in height (when stood), 6.2 cms nose to tail)

Gadget Hall O'Fame - No 1: Inspector Gadget

Oh Boy! - Inspector Gadget is one of my all time heroes. He starred in the great "Inspector Gadget" cartoon series (made from 1983-1985) where he'd have to solve all sorts of mysteries - his arch-nemesis Doctor Claw was usually behind them all!

Crumbs! - Inspector Gadget nearly has as many gadgets as me. With a cry of "Go-Go Gadget...." he used his great gizmos like Gadget-Legs (long springy legs) in order to run faster or jump higher, or his Gadget-Copter (helicopter in hat) to fly after Doctor Claw's minions.

Inspector Gadget isn't as good as me though. More often than not, his gadgets would back-fire on him or not work properly - so for instance his Gadget-Legs might start working by accident when he was eating his tea, and cause a terrible mess. Also, more-more often than not, his niece "Penny" and her clever dog "Brains" would solve the mysteries for him and then he'd get all the credit. It used to drive me MAD and make me through things at the TV.

If you want to read more about Inspector Gadget, then click here but remember he's not as good as me and isn't even real because he's just a cartoon character, and I've got bigger, better, faster gadgets anyway ha ha haaahaha ahaa ha haa (David will be back next week readers, once he's calmed down - Ed)
