The Microsoft X-Box

This thing is cool - the people at Microsoft have really outdone themselves. It looks superfly and it betters the Playstation 2 and the Dreamcast. However I don’t know if it will get the credibility which the other consoles have.

On the X-Box Website there is a sheet of stats which compare it to the Playstation 2 and the GamecubeThe Playstation 2 has 32MB, the X-Box has two times that! The Gamecube has 43MB - so both of the new consoles are more powerful than the over hyped Playstation 2.

Unfortunately, there are many things on Microsoft's X-Box WebPages that I don’t understand, but some things really impressed me. For example, the CPU size of the X-Box is two to three times bigger than that of the Playstation 2 and the Gamecube. In this field, the bigger the better, meaning better quality sound, graphics and games.

So if you are crying that you didn't get that Playstation 2 you wanted for Christmas  - just go and order the X-Box, it's better and faster than the PS2 and Gamecube and stats-wise that's proven. However, you might have to wait a bit as it won't be launched over here in the UK until 2002 (Microsoft want to concentrate on the Japanese and American Market) .... Bugger!

 - 5/5 (when it's released!)
