Corx Review So what's CORX all about then? Well, apparently it's going to be the "next big thing" in the world of games. And when I say "games" - I definitely don't mean Playstation or Dreamcast. Nope, CORX takes things right back to basics - in fact, the only playing pieces are ... erm....corks, and that's it. Alright, so I don't blame you for not being excited just yet. But like a game of snap, conkers or top-trumps , the brilliance of CORX lies in it's simplicity. It's kind of like a cross between darts and that game called "Pass The Pigs" (remember that?) for two or more people. The basic idea is this: you take it in turns in dropping your two CORX onto a flat surface, aiming for them to land standing upright. Since corks get smaller at one end, you'll score more points if they land on their narrow end (2 points) than if they land on their large end (1 point)....oh, and you'll score no points at all if they fall on their sides. In it's most basic form, CORX is played between two people, both trying to reach the score of 21 - like darts, you have to get an exact score to finish or else you'll go bust. As with all the best games however, CORX offers loads of scope to make up your own rules and customise the game your own way. It's a real game of skill, and though you'd think that there's nothing to just dropping corks onto a board - you'll soon be carefully angling your CORX in an effort to score more points than your opponent. You'll have to try CORX for yourself though to really get a feel for it. Trying to make it sound interesting is really difficult for such a simple little game - play it a few times with your mates however and I'm sure you'll be hooked.....I know I was!
