The All New, Limited Edition, Micro Skate Scooter… Pro-Edition!

Yes indeed folks, those nice people at CityBug Scooters sent us the new version of the highly popular MicroSkate scooter to trial. These ultra-cool scooters have been in the news a lot, and it seems to be the mode of city transport for quite a few celebrities, including Kylie Minogue!!. This scooter is the next version up from the one we gave away last month.

This version of the scooter comes with front hydraulic suspension, which makes for a much smoother and safer ride. With the previous model if you hit any bumps in the road, off you went, but now you can tackle all those gravelly bits of road in safety. Needless to say the suspension makes the scooter slightly heavier, but this weight, coupled with the cushioning effect of the suspension, makes the scooter turn and move better.

The suspension also means that you can jump higher, if you pick up enough speed, I found it easy to clear the kerb by my house. If not, then the smooth bottom of the scooter allows you to do well cool grinds along the kerb. I particularly enjoy trying to do tricks and things on the scooter, and this version makes it far easier!

The scooter also comes with a bar at the back you can stand on to jump. This is more of an expert feature (needless to say I haven't touched it yet ;-)) that I am told lets you 'jump like a gazelle'.

I have to say that the scooter is far cooler to use than a simple bike!, you can fold it up, and it's light enough to fit in a bag or rucksack. Its aluminium body allows it to be very strong and it will last for years!!

The scooter was originally developed by Wim Ouboter, from Switzerland, but all the MicroSkate Scooters in the UK are sold and distributed by CityBug.
