What's Cool For Fashion In Autumn

In case you're wondering what's hot for Autumn/Winter fashion, look no further. There are three words to adhere to: Gold, Glam and Glitter.

GOLD RUSH... You may have noticed that the colour gold has made a huge impact on the fashion industry already this month. Loads of celebs are wearing the colour and working the look, and seeing that gold clothes and accessories can be purchased anywhere, there's no reason why you shouldn't be either! Clothes wise, there is so much available. High street stores such as Topshop are doing a big range of sparkly gold clothes for eveningwear and also plain camel coloured clothes for daytime. Gold also goes with practically any other colour, and looks particularly stunning with white, black, grey, dark blue and dark purple.

GLITTERBUG... Gold make-up is also very big. There are loads of different shades for whatever your colouring. Gold lipstick, gloss, eyeshadow, nail polish and body shimmer are all available and here are some of the best:

§ Blue eyes: Goldlight Eyeshadow £3.49 from Maybelline
§ Green Eyes: Sunset Eye gloss £1.29 from Miss Sporty at Superdrug
§ Brown Eyes: 41 Dazzle Dust £3.95 from Barry M
§ Fair Skin, Blonde Hair: Gold dust lipstick £2.50 from Spectacular
§ Pale skinned Redheads: Solar glitter lipstick £2.50 from Spectacular
§ Bronzed Brunettes: Galactica Supernova Lip Colour £2.49 from Miners.

And as you can see, at these prices you can afford to get the glitterbug!

GOLDEN GLAMOUR... Finally there are some gorgeous gold accessories to complete the look. Gold diamanté chain belts are a lot cheaper than the silver ones and look even better! Gold strappy shoes can instantly transform an outfit into glamour and there is also lots of gold jewellery available. So what are you waiting for? Go for Gold!

Three Golden Rules...

1. You can have too much gold. I mean imagine gold trousers, top, shoes, hat, jewellery and makeup - you'd look too gaudy. It's better to have three items max, in a look including makeup and then you don't look like you've overdone it!

2. When it comes to make-up, although it's great to glow, full on sparkle is a bit too much. Think subtle hints again.

3. Try not to clash gold colours. Pick either camel or more brown colours or sparkling gold clothes. Don't put them both in an outfit.
