Burger King puts part-time jobs with pupiline

Youngsters in Colchester who are keen to get a part-time job with local Burger King franchises can now apply online through a local schoolboy’s website.

It’s all part of a trial between three local Burger King restaurants and 16-year-old Oli Watts’ website pupiline.net.

The teenager who runs the online magazine with a team of other youngsters in his spare time, has developed the site, which started life in his back bedroom as an anti-bullying website, into an e-magazine covering a whole host of things of interest to the 11-17 age-group.

Local Burger King franchise owner Cengis was one of the first people to back pupiline by sponsoring the cost of the domain name pupiline.net for Oli. He has since joined a band of angel investors who are putting up cash to help Oli to develop the site.

After agreeing to take part in a feature for the site about part-time work for youngsters, including advice on their rights and employers’ attitudes to teenage staff, Burger King agreed the next obvious step was to advertise its part-time vacancies online.
