28th April 2000 American kids wowed by anti-bully website AN anti-bullying web site set up by a 15 year-old schoolboy from England has been flooded with enquiries from US youngsters wanting to contribute to the site. Oli Watts launched Pupiline.net just over a month ago after being bullied at his previous school. This week the site was given official backing from the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair. In a personal letter to the youngster, Tony Blair welcomed the initiative and said he was delighted that Oli was exploiting new technology in the process. After appearing live on NBC television on Tuesday evening, Oli’s site received thousands of hits and dozens of emails from American youngsters wanting to contribute to Pupiline.net which has also been described by two national teaching organisations as an "excellent resource for young people and their parents." Oli said: "I couldn’t believe it when I was asked to appear on American tv and I so enjoyed my interview. The response has been phenomenal. I am busy reading all the emails now and responding to them." Oli, who lives in Suffolk with his parents, both teachers, and younger brother, Harry is now hoping to broaden the appeal of the website to create something of interest to all young people around the world. "I see it as a sort of global playground," he explained, "a place where all youngsters aged between 11-18 can go and enjoy themselves. With America on board, the world’s my oyster!"
