pupiline's links to Professional Support Agencies

pupiline's purpose is to offer a place for young people to get peer support, and information from other young people on issues that matter to them and are important to them.

Sometimes just talking to other young people is not enough, and if a problem is particularly bad you might want to talk to your GP or Nurse practitioner; if you dont fancy this then there are some other places listed below that might be of help!

Professional Bodies you should check out...

  

ChildLine is an excellent place for children and young people to go for professional advice if they are in trouble or danger
If you want to talk to someone, call ChildLine free and confidentially on 0800 1111.

  

Shelter is a national charity dedicated to helping those living on the streets or in poor housing conditions.
Their free helpline Shelterline, offers a 24, confidential service to help those in need of information to do with homelessness and housing, call 0808 800 4444 (freephone)

The Samaritans is charity based in the UK and Republic of Ireland that provides confidential emotional support to any person who is suicidal or despairing; and that increases public awareness of issues around suicide and depression.

Bullying Online is a website giving information on all aspects of dealing with bullying, from gaining legal advice, how to deal with the school as a parent, and also what to do as a pupil. They give support and advice via email, you can contact them here.

  


The Citizens Advice Bureau Service offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice.
If you are seeking advice you can find on-line information at the CAB
Adviceguide website. To contact your nearest CAB write, drop-in or telephone during opening hours. Some bureaux can offer advice by email if you are in their locality. CAB websites also give information about local services
