Alternative Zone 2 Hello again my pretties, that fantastic geezer Chris is letting me make this a regular thing so check back every fortnight or so to see an updated version. Oh and a big shout out to everyone who went to the Ozz Fest I hear it was an 'experience' to say the least! The Best Albums................Ever: There's albums and there's Albums. Everyone's got a favourite or five and there's always a rare gem that pops up from time to time that you think deserves to be gold plated and displayed in a crystal case, well here's my choices of the albums everyone should have: Coldplay - Parachutes The way to tell a great album is if you can listen to it all the way through without skipping one track, this is one such record. There are no words fantastic enough to describe it. The Dandy Warhols- Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia No-one seems to know these guys! Well I'm here to tell you there is not a bunch of people on this Earth cooler than the Dandies, they reak of coolness! This is an Album everyone will love. Beth Orton- Central Reservation I couldnt live without this bitter-sweet album. I can't describe it, you'll just have to get it and listen. Placebo- Black Market Music Ok,ok so Brian Molko sounds a bit like a girl but this record will blow you away with tracks that vary from very rockin and moshy to acoustic and almost sweet. Not one to listen to when you're depressed as it's pretty bleak. Oh and track number 10 says it all (confused?, buy the album then (0: ) This Month's Hottest Gigs: Turin Brakes- London Union Chapel, Friday 8th June Tickets £9.50, Call: 020 7734 8932 or 020 7344 0044 The Dandy Warhols- Brixton Academy, Friday 29th June Tickets from: 020 7771 2000 P.S I've seen them live and my god to they rock, definately worth it Linkin Park- London Brixton Academy, June 4th call the NME for tickets on: 0870 1 663 663 Papa Roach- Glasgow Barrowlands, May 30th call the NME for tickets on: 0870 1 663 663 A friend of mine went to Ozzfest and her is her review....
