Pop Update 6

What's Up In the 'World of Pop',

- absolutely fantastic
- still worth buying
- not bad
- definitely not one to buy
- who's bright idea was it to release this as a song?

A1 - Take On Me

What can I say about this song? It has to be the worst song in the history of Pop music (next to Lolly, but I'll get to her next). I was shocked and appalled by it. I know it will probably go to number one like all songs that I hate but or the sake of my sanity - please don't let it happen.

Lolly - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

After hearing this song regularly on VH1 (the old version) I realised that for the era it was a decent, solid pop song. Lolly's version however destroys a perfectly good song that should be left in the past and not brought forward into the 21st century. I am doubly shocked and appalled by this song. Please once again, don't let this go anywhere near the number 1 spot.

Bon Jovi - Say It Ain't So

At last, out of the releases this week, there is at least one good song. Say It Isn't So is the second track of Bon Jovi's brilliant album "Crush". It's less upbeat than It's My Life, but I still love it and hope, out of all of this weeks releases, it does well.
