Bullying - pupiline at the CHIPS Conference A few months ago I was approached by the good people at Childline to chair the national conference for their CHIPS programme that is being held this Novemeber. After all the other things I have done with pupiline, the awards ceremonies, forging business partnerships, and planning and developing the interactives with our outstanding and dedicated (if often a little mad!) team I didn't think things could get much more high-profile until I was asked to chair the CHIPS conference. Childline is such an excellent organisation, which has done so much to help, support and advise to millions of young people in need all over the UK it is so encouraging to think that such a well-known charity is not only dedicating so much to time help combat bullying, but that it is also really valuing the part that young people have to play in doing this. The whole purpose of the conference is to move the debate on bullying forward, and to encourage people of our age to contribute our views to help find solutions to the problem of bullying in schools. After the conference i'll post up some pictures of the day, and also write up how it went so you can all see, i'm really looking forward to it. There will be lots of different speakers at the conference, one of whom will be Adrienne Katz, a friend of pupiline who runs the charity 'Young Voice', which performs research on young people, and she has done a lot of research on bullying. If you are going to the conference do come along and say hi, I am told there will be around 300 people there, so its going to be busy.
