Here's How it all Started

pupiline has come such a long way in such a short space of time, but here's the story to how it all got started.

Hi,

I'm oli, I'm 16 years old and I live in Suffolk...

I was a normal kind of bloke, going out, working, meeting friends enjoying life. Then something seemed to change in my life. All of a sudden I felt really under pressure at school. Now, looking back I know that the pressure was when the bullying started.

It seemed like everyone was against me, egged on by a core of sods who thought it was funny to bully me. It was mostly name calling, humiliations in lessons, some physical abuse, but verbal bullying can hurt more than you might think.

No one was my friend, it was me against the other 150 kids in my year. My school wasn't interested, they didn't help, didn't tell me where I could go for support, nothing. I told them about it, complained and all the rest of it, but it was no use.

My parents helped me loads
, they understood the problems, understood my moods, tried to take my mind off it, (cos they're both like that - they all are!), but they always used the classic line, "Ignore them, it'll go away" - sound familiar? (!).

We managed to find a person I who could speak to. I am now at a new school which is really tops. All the teachers are really cool and supportive, I've got loads of new mates, and I'm getting my old life back.

Knowing what that feels like, being really, really down, not wanting to go to school, knowing what it is like to be a victim of bullying, faking being ill and all the other skyving tricks we all use...

Knowing all that I was sure that I would try to help you guys
, you who may be having similar problems, to have a way out.

That's why I set up pupiline.net, so you will have somewhere to go, do cool stuff, put your views and ideas forward, and do loads of other top things, read about and get advice on things that are affecting people of our age everywhere.

Keep Smiling...

oli
